Walk through is an move involving a cross-body lead and a comb-over with the dancers’ arms. The leader’s footwork in this move is the same as in the simple cross-body lead.
This variation of the Cross body lead is similar to Cross body lead (closed), however partners remain in an open position throughout the whole move.
To end in this position, the couple starts in an Open Position then both partners lift their hands above head and either the follower turns around to the right or the leader turns around to the left. This results in the leader and the follower having their arms crossed with both left arms positioned over [...]
Leader and follower face each other like in the Open Positions however the leader offers his hands to the follower crossed right over left.
Leader and follower are positioned similarly to that in Single Open Position however leader’s left hand holds follower’s left hand. Right hands of the leader and follower are free.
Leader and follower are positioned similarly to that in Single Open Position however leader’s right hand holds follower’s right hand. Left hands of the leader and follower are free.
This position is similar to Open Position however leader and follower are holding hands only on the leader’s right side.
This position is similar to Open Position however leader and follower are holding hands only on the leaders left side.
Leader and follower face each other and are about 20-30 cm apart. Leader holds his hands vertically at about waist height and follower cups her hands over top of his. It is important for the leader to keep his thumbs away from the follower’s knuckles.
Leader places his right hand on the follower’s left shoulder blade closer to the middle of the follower’s back. It is important to ensure that leader’s right hand does not slide down below follower’s shoulder blade. Followers left hand should be placed on the leaders shoulder at its highest point slightly towards the back.
